Legal Terms, Waiver, and Disclaimer for Giveaway Participation

By entering this giveaway, you (the “Participant”) agree to the following terms and conditions. Your participation constitutes full acceptance of all rules and legal disclaimers outlined below.

1. Eligibility

This giveaway is open only to legal residents of Canada. Participants must be 13 years of age or older. If under 18, participants must have permission from a parent or legal guardian. BFLC employees and/or board members are not eligible to win.

2. Entry Requirements

This giveaway is not sponsored, endorsed, or administered by, or associated with Instagram, Meta Platforms Inc., or any third party unless explicitly stated. All entries must comply with Instagram’s Terms of Use and Community Guidelines. Any attempt to enter using fraudulent or automated methods, including bots or fake accounts, will result in disqualification. Multiple entries are permitted if they meet all guidelines.

To enter, participants must follow @burnabyfieldlacrosse, @vanwarriors, @marcusklarich and like the giveaway post, and tag at least two friends in the comments.

3. Prizes and Conditions

The prize includes one (1) Vancouver Warriors × Franklin youth lacrosse stick and one (1) Maverik Optik force lacrosse head. Prizes are not redeemable for cash, exchangeable, or transferable. Winner is responsible for all shipping and handling costs. Free local pickup in Vancouver, BC, is available by request. Burnaby Field Lacrosse is not responsible for delays, damage, or loss once the prize is shipped. Odds of winning are based on the total number of eligible entries. The winner will be randomly selected and contacted via Instagram Direct Message. If the winner does not respond within 72 hours, another eligible winner will be selected.

4. Assumption of Risk and Limitation of Liability

By entering, the Participant acknowledges and agrees that Burnaby Field Lacrosse, its directors, affiliates, coaches, volunteers, and sponsors (including but not limited to Markus Klarich and the Vancouver Warriors) are not liable for any injury, loss, damage, or claim of any kind resulting from participation in the giveaway or the use or misuse of any prize. Participants assume full responsibility for all risks, including physical injury or property damage related to the use of the prize.

5. Release of Liability

Participants waive the right to bring any claim, legal action, or proceeding against Burnaby Field Lacrosse, its affiliates, volunteers, or related parties in connection with this promotion. By entering, you fully and forever release all listed parties from any and all liability, claims, demands, or damages associated with the giveaway.

6. Privacy

Participant information will only be used for the purposes of this giveaway. We will not share or sell personal information. All activities are conducted in accordance with Canadian privacy laws.

7. General Conditions

Burnaby Field Lacrosse reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel this giveaway at any time without notice. Any individual attempting to disrupt or tamper with the entry process or operation of the giveaway will be disqualified. This promotion is governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the applicable federal laws of Canada. Any disputes shall be resolved exclusively in the courts of British Columbia.
