BFLC Tier 1 Pathway

As we prepare for the upcoming field lacrosse season, Burnaby Field Lacrosse Club is excited to offer a Tier 1 pathway for players who are interested in competing at the highest level of field lacrosse available within British Columbia.

We want to provide families with a clear understanding of what Tier 1 evaluations are, who they are intended for, and how the process will work.


What is Tier 1?

Tier 1 represents the highest level of competition available within the Pacific Coast Field Lacrosse League (PCFLL). These teams compete against the strongest players and programs throughout the province and often pursue Provincial Championship opportunities.

Tier 1 lacrosse requires a higher level of commitment, effort, and competitiveness from both players and families.

Who Should Attend Tier 1 Evaluations?

Tier 1 evaluations are intended for players who:

  • Have previous years of lacrosse experience
  • Possess strong foundational lacrosse skills
  • Are committed to regular practices and games
  • Enjoy competing at a high level
  • Aspire to challenge themselves against top competition
  • Are interested in pursuing Provincial-level competition

While all players are welcome within BFLC, Tier 1 evaluations are specifically designed for athletes seeking placement on a Tier 1 team.

Players who are new to lacrosse or still developing basic skills may find greater success and enjoyment within one of our developmental team pathways.

Many successful Tier 1 players began their journey on Tier 2 or Tier 3 teams before advancing through the program.

Our goal is simple: provide a fair, transparent, and development-focused evaluation process while creating opportunities for athletes to compete at the highest level possible.

Whether your player is striving for Tier 1, continuing their development on another team, or trying field lacrosse for the first time, every player remains an important part of Burnaby Field Lacrosse Club.
